Happiness begins with freedom. It implies it. There can be no happiness without freedom. But freedom has something of an illusion, don't you think? Sometimes you think you're free, but you're really not... and sometimes you're truly free, but you don't realize it, or you're too afraid to exercise that freedom. They say we are born free, but freedom is learned, like any other skill. The point is that it is a search, it takes time, patience and experimentation. In a way, it is like creating a perfume, combining the raw materials, choosing the right aromas, the ideal proportions, digging deep in search of nuances and soul. So every once in a while, after facing some of those trials and tribulations, life tends to hit you back and you have to remember: you are on your own path to freedom.
