The Cobra & The Canary

When 23-year-old Neal Orris is led by a clairvoyant to a rural Connecticut barn that houses his late father's secret obsession, a pristine 1964 Shelby Cobra Roadster, it becomes the escape ticket he was desperately seeking. After freeing his best friend Ike from his dead-end job on the family farm, the two hit the road. Aiming to reach the Palm Springs racetracks, their journey is a mix of seedy motels, cold pools, hot debutantes, cocktails and cigarette smoke. At each stop, the friends invent new pseudonyms and characters, and their innocent game plummets into the depths of decay and desolation.
